This policy explains what data VisitUbud.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. It was last reviewed in October 2026.
The short version
This is a static website. We do not ask you to create an account, we do not run advertising, we do not sell data, and we do not set any cookies of our own. The only third-party technologies on these pages are GetYourGuide’s booking widget and affiliate tracking, and links to Booking.com, described below.
What we collect directly
Nothing that identifies you. There are no contact forms, no newsletter sign-ups and no logins on this site. If you email us, we hold that email in order to reply and for no other purpose.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server access logs — IP address, timestamp, requested page, user agent — for security and aggregate traffic analysis. These are retained for a limited period and not combined with anything else.
Local storage
If you choose a language from the switcher, we save that choice in your browser’s local storage under the key preferredLang so we can send you to the right version next time. It never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time.
GetYourGuide widgets and affiliate links
Booking buttons and the live availability widgets are provided by GetYourGuide GmbH. When a widget loads, or when you click through, GetYourGuide may set cookies and receive your IP address, browser information and the page you came from, in order to display availability and attribute a booking to us.
Any personal data you enter during a booking is collected and processed by GetYourGuide under their own privacy policy. We never see it. We are told only that a booking occurred and its commission value. See GetYourGuide’s privacy policy.
Booking.com links
Hotel links on our where-to-stay page go to Booking.com. When you click one, Booking.com may set cookies and process your data under its own privacy policy, and if you book we may earn a commission. We do not receive your booking details.
Fonts
We load webfonts from Google Fonts. Google receives your IP address as part of serving those files.
Your rights
Because we hold almost nothing about you, there is usually nothing to access, correct or delete. If you have emailed us and would like that correspondence removed, write to [email protected]. Under the GDPR and similar laws you have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your data, and to complain to your local supervisory authority.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the review date at the top. Questions go to [email protected].
