Ubud is filled with hundreds of fabulous galleries, museum and even small workshops. The skills of carving, weaving and painting have survived in Bali for centuries and are until today practiced by many villages. You can catch a glimpse of textiles, wooden carvings and paintings by walking around many galleries, shops and even small villages. There are families here who frequently sit outdoors and carve or weave for hours in a day. You can also expect to see painters and art studios in places sometimes as odd as middle of a rice fields
