Marine life includes jacks, tuna, manta rays, reef sharks, dolphins, hundreds of species of colorful fish and rare whale sharks and ocean sunfish.

There are also several shipwrecks (Tulamben and Menjangan island) and many dive sites to chose from. Rent gear and go down with an instructor or register for a course. The highest concentration of centers are on the southern and eastern shores of the island. PADI system of certification is generally recognized.

Be careful - depending on the time Nusa Penida may have very intense currents, that's why it may only be good for very experienced divers.
